“This is by far the best villa we’ve ever stayed. The villa layout, the grounds, the pool, the service together made this truly an unforgettable stay. Our family with two young kids were so relaxed that we hardly left the villa except for some grocery shopping and snack run to Alfamart. The Layout The villa is exactly as posted on AirBnB, in fact I will say it’s even better than the pictures. It is situated away from the beach, surrounded by rice paddies from all three sides. This is a key differentiator compared to nearby villa, as it gives you complete privacy while at the same time, very easy access by simply walking along a path with lotus pound. As it is surrounded by a tropical garden and manicured lawn, you truly feel like royalty passing time at a summer retreat. The villa has two bedrooms on the ground floor and a master bedroom upstairs, each with ensuite bathroom. Each bathroom comes with two sinks which is very handy. Each bedroom also has large glass sliding door, the door has a latch that’s’ high enough so that kids can’t reach to unlock it. Important feature for parents concerned about kids getting into the pool unsupervised. The fridge is large in size with an ice machine, that really comes in handy. Upstairs is a huge living room area, and cathedral style high ceiling. Every night we would enjoy Wonderful place to relax if you want to get away from the sun or gather around after dinner for a movie. There are huge selections of DVDs to choose from and many books if you are interested in reading. When we arrived the fridge was already filled with complimentary soft drinks, beer, watermelon and other fruits. The grounds The grounds are meticulously maintained, and we felt we were in a botanical garden. In the evening, the entire place lights up and gives you that majestic feel. My daughter loved the little fishing pond to feed the fish in the morning. The Pool The pool is HUGE, definitely the largest I’ve seen in all the villas we’ve stayed. It has shallow end and deep end. It is also very well maintained and cleaned every day in the early morning by one of the staffs. The service What made our stay truly memorable is the staff. Nyomang, the driver is accessible 24 hours. If we needed to pick up something from the local market, he would take us on a scooter. There’s also a jeep available. Ketut , the woman of the house made wonderful Indonesian dishes and also spaghetti meat balls, in fact we ate all three meals daily at the villa! You just have to pay the cost of the ingredients! We also had our laundry washed and ironed again all complimentary. Of course to provide a complete unbiased review, I also have to note a few things to be aware of. The room upstairs is not very well insulated due to the design material used, so don’t expect the room to cool down when you turn on the AC or the fan. Best thing to do is simply open the balcony doors and you get a wonderful draft (breeze), especially in the evening, so there’s’ absolutely no need to turn on the AC. I would also caution if kids are running upstairs, you’ll definitely hear every footsteps so if you are a light sleeper downstairs be prepared. Other than that, I can’t’ say enough about how great this place is. You really have to experience it yourself. AS for us, we are definitely keen to stay at the villa again and hopefully for a longer period of time.”

Nous avons séjourné à la Villa Shanti pour notre lune de miel. 14 jours de pur bonheur, de calme, de zen, de relaxation. Toute l'équipe sur place fait en sorte que vous soyez dans un niveau de confort et de bien-être parfait. Ketut, la maîtresse de maison saura vous faire chavirer avec ses recettes savoureuses et ses cours de cuisine. Vous pouvez aussi vous faire masser dans la cabane au fond du jardin au son des vagues. Un vrai bonheur. Si vous hésitez alors foncez vous ne le regretterez pas !

Vom ersten Blick auf die Villa überwältigt, dann kommt es immer besser: der Pool ist fantastisch, der Garten gepflegt und mit vielen interessanten Arten bepflanzt, der schwarze Strand eine schöne Abwechslung und das Meer herrlich ruhig und warm. Aber das Beste ist der Service, das freundliche und herzliche Personal, stets bereit aber immer unaufdringlich und diskret. Allen voran Ketut, die ausgezeichnet kocht, aber alle sind zu loben, genauso wie die hervorragende Masseuse Made. Kurz: wir kommen nächstes Jahr wieder- Danke Marja und Theo für dieses Kleinod in Bali

Onze verwachtingen zijn ruimschoots overtroffen. Een mooi eiland, prachtige villa, zwembad en tuin maar jullie staf heeft de vakantie onvergetelijk gemaakt. Niets was hun teveel om het ons naar de zin te maken. Ketut heeft fantastisch gekookt. Een echte aanrader is om met haar naar de lokale markt te gaan en inkopen te doen en 's avonds samen met haar Indonesisch te koken. Los van een aantal excursies hebben we heerlijk kunnen ontspannen. We hebben een prachtig verblijf gehad en komen zeker nog een keertje terug. .

Alles Spitzenklasse, von der Lage, über den top gepflegten Garten, die wundervollen indonesischen Gerichte von Ketut. Auch die Einrichtung und das wunderschöne Haus lässt keine Wünsche offen. Auch ein Ausflug mit dem Jeep ist ein Erlebnis. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

De derde keer dat we Lovina op Bali bezoeken. Eerst in villa Asmara en vorig jaar 4 dagen in villa Shanti. Villa Shanti is de mooiste villa van alle villa's bij Lovina. Deze villa is met zoveel zorg gebouwd op een unieke plek. Het personeel zorgt met veel liefde voor de tuin het huis en zijn gasten. Het is een plek om tot rust te komen.Dit jaar zijn we 4 weken in deze villa en genieten elk moment van de dag. We hebben gewoon moeite om een dag weg te gaan voor een excursie.

Just got back from 2 weeks at the Shanti nature reserve for just two of us. I really liked the privacy, no one gawping at us like the sea view villas endured. Maybe not the biggest villa in Dencarik but certainly the prettiest (has the biggest pool though). Ayu was an incredibly hard working lady, as were the gardeners who battled constantly clearing the constant fall of leaves. Made, the security guard was very vigilant and got us up for the dawn boat trip. The reason though I booked this villa were the glowing recommendations to Ketut's cooking, better than the restaurants one reviewer claimed. Alas, we were not remotely impressed and ate out most days, she barely spent any time at the villa which was a shame as we were expecting a rather indulgent holiday. She was no help when we asked what could be done about all the mosquitoes, getting both the malfunctioning aircon units upstairs fixed or the doors that were difficult to close & lock. Fortunately, Marja got on the case and things were sorted quickly. Loved that you didn't have to leave the villa. My other half had ladies come out and give her massages, manicure, yoga lessons etc. and a boat picked us up on the shore outside the villa at dawn so we could partake in the mass daily chase of the poor Dolphins. There is a beach bar a 10 minute walk down the beach and we often went there for lunch or just a drink, best first attempted when the tide is out a bit though, you will know what I mean when you get the trees! We loved our time at the villa and Bali, don't care if I never see another scooter ever again though!

From 25th. May 2017 onwards we stayed for 10 days in Villa Shanti. Together with 6 adults we had a splendid holiday that makes it hard to decide where to start. The staff, the villa, the region, it all was superb. The hospitality of the staff at the villa is great, they all are so kind and always willing to help. For us it was the first time at Bali and their tips, advices and support was very welcome. During our stay we celebrated our 35th. wedding anniversary at the villa and every staff member was more than willing to make it a great party. The cleaning was perfect, the garden was eye catching and we felt very safe and secure. Eating in the villa is a pleasure. Ketut is a real queen of the kitchen and prepared us every day a very tasteful breakfast and dinner. The villa is superb! The architecture of the villa is very special and is quite different (read: more beautiful) compared to all the other ones in the neighbourhood. From day one we felt us at home. We would recommend villa Shanti for those who want to visit Lovina. Before we booked this holiday we read a lot about Bali, Lovina and villa Shanti. Now we are back at home we unanimous agreed that most of the previous reviews are so true. Certainly a warm recommendation to consider if you want to go to Lovina.

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at the extremely comfortable villa. The grounds , pool and massage hut really enhanced the whole experience but no where near as much as the care in every detail and every delicious meal prepared by Ketut!!! He food was AMAZING and she took care of our every need with a smile. I dont know how she does it in the dimly lit kitchen? We would definately love to revisit this villa.

Our family stayed in the villa for nearly a week in June and had a wonderful stay. If one wishes to relax - there is a fabulous pool, plenty of shade, and great beach views. When we reluctantly decided to venture from the comfort of the villa and its lush grounds, the staff arranged excellent day trips: a day of scuba diving and tours of local sites. The cook is excellent, and we ate like kings for the full stay. This villa is on our short list of "must return here".

Een dikke 10 krijgen van ons de Villa en de medewerkers. Wat een leuke en gastvrije mensen werken er bij Villa Shanti. Zo wil je vakantie vieren...., in alle rust en luxe die je maar wenst. Er is heeeerlijk voor ons gekookt en het huis en de tuin werden iedere dag schoongemaakt. Massage aan huis, scooter huren, dagtochtjes, enz, enz, alles werd in overleg voor je geregeld.

Mooiste villa in noord Bali! supervriendelijke en behulpzame staf, prachtige villa en tuin, zwembad, strand, alles volledig in balans en harmonie, hier wordt je vanzelf rustig! en geniet je door simpelweg om je heen te kijken en door de tuin te banjeren! Voldoende gelegenheid om 's avonds in de buurt te eten dankzij behulpzame staff met de villa jeep. perfecte locatie om mooie natuur/cultuur van noord Bali te bezoeken op basis van dag trips! Hier willen we heel graag weer terugkomen.

Na het drukke Zuiden van Bali hebben we erg genoten van het echte Bali hier in de omgeving van Lovina en natuurlijk Villa Shanti. Al bij aankomst waren we onder de indruk van deze geweldige plek, het huis en natuurlijk de staff. We zijn hier twee weken geweest maar hadden met gemak nog eens twee weken kunnen blijven. Wat een heerlijke plek! Prachtige villa, imposante tuin en fantastische staff. Allemaal zeer behulpzaam zonder te aanwezig te zijn. Een speciale plek krijgt Ketut met haar heerlijke eten en verzorging. We hebben erg genoten van haar maaltijden en hadden niet de behoeften ergens anders uit eten te gaan. Het spotten van de dolfijnen is zeker een aanrader en een unieke ervaring. ook het shoppen met Nyomang en Ketut op de plaatselijke markt is zeer bijzonder als je enigszins avontuurlijk bent aangelegd. Het Boedhistisch klooster, de warm water bronnen en Munduk waterval zijn zeker de moeite waard. De rit naar Munduk en de korte wandeling naar de waterval zijn ook al erg leuk. Enfin het is te veel om op te noemen. We gaan met weemoed weer terug naar huis. Een mooie herinnering rijker en met het vooruitzicht hier zeker nog een keer terug te komen. Hartelijke groet

A dream came true! We travelled 5 weeks in Indonesia and this place was by far the very best! Luxurious house with a beautiful garden directly at the seaside. A huge private swimming pool. The staff gave us all VIP treatment and managed to be invisible. The freshly prepared meals were absolutely delicious. We sure will come back!!!!!!

Die Villa war sehr schön und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt. Leider hatte ich am zweiten Tag einen kleinen Unfall mit den Roller. Das Personal hat sich vorbildlich um mich gekümmert. Trotz des kleinen Zwischenfalls, haben wir eine sehr schöne Zeit verbracht. Vielen Dank für Alles!

fter having visiting the southern part of Bali previously, we decided to try the northern part of the island, and were able to find this amazing villa. Complete with a full-time staff and perhaps the best private pool we've ever had, this villa experience was fantastic. Excellent (and extremely affordable) meals prepared lovingly by their super chef Ketut, while the rest of the staff was always there if we needed anything, always available, always helpful, and gave us all the privacy we needed. Know that this is the quiet part of the island, which we wanted. Can't wait to visit Bali again, and hope to stay again at Villa Shanti!

I do not have the time to write all the things I would like to say about this place. It was a dream come true. House staff were incredible, ketut especially magnificent. Dream house, dream gardens at a dream location. The perfect holiday. Can not recommend this place enough!

Eines vorweg, mit Bea reise ich seit 1986 durch die Welt mit Schwerpunkt Asien. Deshalb kann ich ruhigen Gewissens sagen, dass wir noch nie zuvor so herzlich willkommen geheißen wurden. Nach einem wirklich warmen Empfang setzte sich das Wohlfühlen fort bis zum letzten Tag. Alle Angestellten machen einen super Job. Man muss sich um nichts kümmern, alles wird in aller Stille erledigt. Es wäre deshalb nicht fair eine Person besonders hervor zu heben. Obwohl das Haus schon 10 Jahre auf dem Buckel hat wirkt es wie neu. Da merkt man die gute Organisation. Eine Augenweide ist der Garten (eigentlich ja ein Park), sowie der Pool. Wer also Ruhe sucht und sich nur erholen will ist in der Villa Shanti bestens aufgehoben. Die Villa Shanti ein kleines Paradies. Bleibt alle gesund, wir freuen uns auf ein Wiedersehen!!

My family spent a Lovely vacation over new Year 2016/2017 at Villa Shanti. The house is very nice and the surrounding garden is magnificent. Its calm and peaceful like paradise. But the extraordinary staff is what made our 10 day long staying to an exellent experience. Always happy helpful and caring especially the the lady of the house Ketut which we all fell in love with. She spolied us with Amazing food and hospitality. I can stongly recommend Villa Shanti and assure you wont be disappointed.

Morgen vertrekken we weer bij Villa Shanti. Wat hebben we het heerlijk gehad! We zijn veel bij de villa geweest om te genieten van de rust en het vredige hier. De omgeving van de villa is schitterend tussen de rijstvelden en druiven en volgroeide lombokvelden die vuurrood zijn. uren heb ik in de tuin kunnen turen. De schemer valt ook in volgens vast patroon. eerst komen de zwaluwtjes gevolgd door de vleermuizen, daarna een paar keer de roep van een vogel die het streeds in een hogere toon herhaald ( leuk om te horen). Deze weer gevolg door de insecten die een vreselijke herrie maken, maar gelukkig niet de hele avond en daarna de roep van de hagedisjes en gekko’s. Wat een heerlijk schouwspel De staff van de villa is ook top! ieder op hun eigen manier. Theo en Marja, jullie mogen trots op hun zijn! Toch hebben we ook nog wat gedaan. Mijn man is gaan duiken bij Menjangan. Het duiken zelf was helemaal top. Op advies van Marja naar de dolfijnen gekeken met Made. Ontzettend veel dolfijnen gezien en Made is zo gek als een deur, zeker het extra geld waard. Je vaart niet met de meute mee, Je krijgt een ontbijtje en nog wat fruit op de boot. Je mag ook nog in het water met de dolfijnen en je kan nog snorkelen.Massage van Made ( vrouw). Ga met Ketut op de scooter naar de markt. Laat Nyomang een tour voor je verzorgen met de jeep van het huis, Hoogtepunt van onze vakantie is dat we bij Nyomang werden uitgenodigd om de ceremonie van de volle maan te vieren. Wat een belevenis. We waren de enige toeristen en werden door iedereen even vriendelijk bekeken, mochten overal vooraan staan of zitten en het was geen probleem om overal foto’s van te maken. Ook niet van de mannen in trance die met krissen ( soort zwaard) in zich zaten te steken!. geweldig.

Veel te snel voorbij! Lieve mensen ontmoet. Ketut, de beste kokkin ever. yu onze lieve huishoudster, Ketut Kebun en Putu de tuinmannen die er voor zorgen dat de tuin eruit ziet als een Paradijs. Kadek security die elke avond met offerbakjes naar de tempel achter de tuin ging. Nyomang, onze chauffeur. Op aanwijzingen van Marja werd er op gelet dat het huis ‘pindavrij’ was. ook Ketut heeft pindavrij gekookt i.v.m. een pinda allergie van onze zoon. Ik verval in herhalingen, maar natuurlijk was het huis helemaal TOP!. We waren hier met onze twee zonen en hun vriendinnen. Het was een heerlijke week. De massages, het bezoek aan de Boeddhistische tempel, de heetwaterbronnen, de Munduk waterval. Met made naar de dolfijnen geweest. het was een mooie dag en we hebben er talloze gezien. wandelen met Putu van Mayong. Prachtige uitzichten, gegeten bij de familie in de bergen. Erg gastvrij. Het zit er helaas weer op. We kijken terug met een warm gevoel. Uit het oog maar niet uit het hart.

Enjoyed our stay. Great villa. excellent stay, great staff. Wonderful 6 days in Villa Shanti. Wish we could have stayed longer.

From moment being welcomed by villa’s staff with flowers at our arrival. Through every day time in very stylish indoor and beautiful well maintained outdoor facility where any wishes were always fulfilled by the staff to high standard. Excellent meal cooking by Ketut and in overall creating nice spirit in house by her! Arrangements of drives with Nyomang on short notice! Well maintained cleaned up garden and pool before ‘house’ woke up. Up to the moment we are saying goodby to villa’s professional and friendly staff. We like when attention is paid to the detail and that is just synonym for Villa Shanti. Thank you and see you again.

K. ( 10 jaar oud) Toen we aankwamen was het een hele grote verrassing. de 4 dagen dat we hier waren zijn alweer snel voorbij gegaan. We hebben heel veel plezier gehad in Villa Shanti!! M ( 13 jaar) : Als je de plaatjes op internet zag dacht je bijna dat het in het echt zou tegenvallen aangezien de plaatjes heel mooi waren, maar iin het echt is het nog veel mooier. ook heel aardig en behulpzaam personeel. deze villa was toch wel een hoogtepunt van deze vakantie. heel erg bedankt!

Met hooggespannen verwachtingen kwamen we hier aan. Op internet was het al zo mooi. Dan is het helemaal top als het echt de verwachting dik overtreft! Alles is even fraai en smaakvol. Met een scherp oog voor details in het huis. En een hoog comfort. Dat aangevuld met een plaatje van een tuin en een super ligging aan zee….. Ook op het team valt niets aan te merken. Meest te maken met Ketut, Nyomang en Ayu. Nyomang regelt alles wat je wilt. gewoon vragen….. En Ketut. het is dat we geen plek hebben anders mocht ze mee naar Nederland. Los van haar warme persoonlijkheid kan ze heerlijk koken. Tips; Ga samen met Ketut koken. Ze leert jke geduldig en legt alles uit zodat je er thuis ook nog plezier aan hebt. Dolfijnen. Nyomang kan een leuke gids met boot regelen. Duurder maar wel met ontbijt, snorkelen en ook met de dolfijnen, echt uniek. Krisna, leuk om te doen en even rond te kijken. Grote supermarkt met veel kleding en souvenirs. We hebben met zijn vijven een geweldige tijd gehad en zullen zeker tot de lengte van jaren met veel goede gevoelens aan Villa Shanti terugdenken.

This evening we will head to the airport after 2 weeks at Villa Shanti. As you, - the next guests-, are reading this now you already visited the garden and inspected the house: a very charming place to spend your holiday! Especially Ketut took very good care of us. Some pratical tips: All massage ladies have different style, you might try different ladies if you stay longer. Our favorite was Ella. We did the day trip to the water temple at lake Bratan. The tree top climbing at the botanic garden of bedugul looked very safe and nice for a family trip ( all ages) Book in advance to avoid disappointment. We booked a dive trip. Buddha was great with the kids. If you face issues you can’t solve directly with the staff, do not hesitate to contact Marja by mail. She was very responsive. The short drive to Brahma Vihara shouldn’t be missed The Krisna market ( 10 minutes drive) sells Bali clothing, bags, for set prices which we couldn’t beat at the local stores even after getting ⅔ off the asked price. Challenge Ketut to offer other Balinese dishes. We used the internet and menu’s of restaurants for ideas as a result we had no meals outside the house.

Our stay at Villa Shanti has been one of the most relaxing and fun filled experience. This was the first time we stayed in a villa and this experience has encouraged us to live in villas in future. Your villa is veru beutiful and pleasing to the eyes. The rooms are very good and the staff is lovely. They are very helpful and are there 24/7. Ketut cooks amazing food and Ayu cleans and does her work at the speed of lighting which is quit amazing. Nyomang was always a call away and was very hospitable. Our 6 nights here were enchantingly lovely. We would obviously love to come here again and this place is truly paradise.

Een uur voor vertrek terug naar het vliegveld. Normaal kijken we nu toch wel een beetje uit naar de thuiskomst. Maar vertrekken uit Villa Shanti is andere koek. We zijn hier twee weken geweest maar hadden met gemak nog eens twee weken kunnen blijven. Wat een heerlijke plek! Prachtige villa, imposante tuin en fantastische d=staff. Allen even vriendelijk en behulpzaam zonder te aanwezig te zijn. Omdat we reizen met 3 kleine kinderen hebben we vooral tripjes in de buurt gedaan. Het Boedhistisch klooster, de warm water bronnen en Munduk waterval zijn zeker de moeite waard. De rit naar Munduk en de korte wandeling naar de waterval zijn ook al erg leuk. we zullen het heerlijke eten van Ketut zeker missen. ze heeft zichzelf overtroffen voor het diner na onze huwelijksceremonie die bij Villa Shanti voltrokken is. Deze dag zullen we mede door de inzet van de staff nooit vergeten. Wij gaan Villa Shanti missen en hopen hier nog eens terug te komen. Met dank en groet.

Heute ist der letzte Abend und Ich bin sehr traurig. Des Moment in dem Ich dieses Haus betrat war Ich sofort hin und weg. Es ist das perfekte Paradies. Das Essen ist gigantisch. Viele Dank auch an Ayu!. Sie hat alle sooo sauber gehalten. Auch viele Dank an das wachsame Auge von kadek. Ich werde das vermissen.

This has been one of the most relaxing and wonderful experience of our lives. On a scale from one to ten, our contentment is eleven. The staff was respectful, helpful and talented. We could not have ask for better. The massages, the landscaping, the cooking….. everything was flawless and the attention to details was impressive.

Zeer hartelijk dank voor deze geweldige locatie en zeer goede zorgen. Het was super. helaas maar 3 dagen. Zeker de moeite om een keer langer terug te komen. ook onze (klein)kinderen hebben hier heerlijk kunnen spelen en zwemmen. Ze willen niet meer weg, mede dankzij lieve Ketut en het lekkere eten.

Ik heb het hier heel erg naar mijn zin gehad. We hebben heerlijk gegeten, Al made by Ketut! Het zwembad is ook erg fijn, ook lekker om de zee zo dicht bij te hebben. leuke schelpen gevonden. Lekker tuinhuisje waar je gemasseerd kan worden. Met het nieuwe jaar hadden wij vanaf het strand een super uitzicht op een stadje dat allemaal vuurwerk afstak. Allemaal hele vriendelijke mensen hier. Met Kerst hadden ze ook een Kerstboom gemaakt en Kerstkransen opgehangen. Met Oud en Nieuw had een restaurantje waar we hadden gegeten zelf oliebollen gemaakt en aan ons gegeven. Ik heb hier wel een super vakantie gehad in ieder geval!. Ook met heel veel dank aan de mensen hier en het heerlijke eten van Ketut. 2 weekjes = 2 super weekjes. R. the youngest of the family. Daar kan ik alleen maar aan toevoegen dat het heerlijjk was hier. Voelt als Paradijs. We hebben leuke dingen gedanaan. Voor mij was het hoogte punt snorkelen bij Menjangan Island. Erg mooi. Onze begeleider was erg vriendelijk en we hebben hele mooie dingen en dieren gezien. Zelfs balonvisjes vastgehouden. S. P.s. de heerlijke massages van Made waren ook super. Het waren twee geweldige vakantieweken hier in dit mooie Paradijsje. We hebben erg genoten en ons geen enkele keer verveeld. Ketut is elke dag vrolijk en staat klaar om een heerlijke omelet voor je te bakken. Sommige dagen is het heerlijk om gewoon in de hangmat te liggen of stiekem boven op de bank een filmpje te kijken.

Wij hebben een grandioze vakantie genoten in Villa Shanti. Samen met Ketut zijn we naar de plaatselijk emarkt geweest en samen boodschappen gedaan. Verder hebben we de Lovina tour gedaan ( zeker een aanrader) en hebben we een dagje Ubud en Celuk bezocht. Maar een van de hoogtepunten was de ceremonie die we dankzij Nyomang hebben ervaren! Het personeel in de villa is super. Steeds even vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Niets is hun teveel. Je mag ‘fier’ zijn op jullie staff, het is een uit de duizend!. Onze speciale dank gaat uit naar Nyomang voor het regelen van alle trips, naar Ketut voor haar fantastisch eten en voor Kadek voor de veilige nachten. We mogen de tuinmannen hierbij ook niet vergeten, want zonder hun zou de tuin niet zo prachtig zijn. Mocht er toch een paradijs op aarde bestaan, dan hebben wij dit gevonden in Villa Shanti. Going here was a surprise to me. My boyfriend arranged it all. Upon arrival the house was filled with flower hearts. There was a very romantic atmosfere and my boyfriend proposed. I could not think of a more eautiful spot than here. It was amazing. Of course I said YES!.. 🙂 We spent 3 days at Villa Shanti. Only left one night to drink something in Lovina ( Poco bar lfe music) Further we enjoy the villa, its beautiful design, the pool, the garden, its surroundings, but most of all the people. They are more than friendly and the best staff you could wish for. Ketut is the best cook we know. Every meal was delicious. We also joined her to the market, which was really nice. She is a great woman but all staff is great. Thanks for having us here. We will never forget our stay at Villa Shanti and hope to return one day. We will definitely recommend this beautiful place to all our family and friends. Enjoy your stay here.

We spent 5 great days in this beautiful place and we were flashed by the stunning atmosphere this villa and surrounding transmits. The friendly and gorgeous staff and, especially the haute cuisine of Ketut made our stay in Villa Shanti a perfect experience. Thank you so much!

Zes jaar geleden maakte we kennis met jullie drie en Villa Shanti in wording. Dat het een paradijselijke plek zou gaan worden, was ons toen al duidelijk! Fantastisch dat we nu als gast van jullie smaakvolle en zeer comfortabele villa hebben mogen genieten. De locatie, de tuin met fenomenale zichtlijnen naar zee, de sawa’s aan de achterzijde met het uitzicht op de sky-line van Bali maakt juist dit huis heel bijzonder. Absoluut de signatuur van Theo! Maar ‘the boss’ is voor de staf een veel breder begrip: daar speelt Marja een grote rol in. We vinden dit in het huis, de voorbereidingen om hier te komen en de keuze en opleiding van de staf terug. Gisteravond hebben we als een grote familie met Ketut en Ayu aan h et hoofd allemaal aan tafel gezeten en onze woorden van dank uitgesproken. Ayu haar hulp in de keuken en zorg voor de was en heerlijk ruikende opgemaakte bed en schoon huis. Ketut voor haar kookkunsten, humor en gezelligheid. Een fantastische vrouw die absoluut een plekje in ons hart heeft veroverd. Dank ook aan Kadek die ons zorgeloze en veilige nachten heeft gegund. En de tuinmannen die iedere dag dit ‘hof van Eden’ een lust voor het oog lieten zijn. Dank Nyomang voor ondersteuning in zaken die geregeld moesten worden bij uitstapjes buitenhuis. We bedanken staf en eigenaren dat we zo fantastisch zijn ontvangen met ons grote gezelschap.

Alweer onze laatste dag in Indonesië!. Heerlijk om het af te sluiten in deze villa. helemaal zen opgezet met een erg mooi design! We hebben heerlijk gegeten, dankzij de kookkunsten van Ketut!. In de top 3 van onze vakantie staat een uitstapje dat we maakten met Nyomang. Hij bracht ons naar zijn oude basisschool, het schooltje waar nog dezelfde leerkrachten rondlopen als toen! Zijn dochters waren heel trots evenals Nyomang zelf. Alle leerkrachten en kinderen ontvingen ons met eenbrede lach en open armen. We hebben alle klassen gezien en een kort lesje meegedaan. Het was een bijzondere belevenis zowel voor ons en onze kinderen als voor hen!. Er waren niet eerder toeristen in het dorpje geweest. Daarna bij een plaatselijk winkeltje inkopen gedaan. Een stralende glimlach van oor tot oor als bedankje. Suksma!

Een heerlijke tijd gehad, werkelijk een zeer bijzondere plek, de mooie rijstvelden met de bergen en de zee aan de voorkant! Genoten van het mooie huis en dito tuin! ook zijn we heel enthousiast over al het lieve personeel. Ketut is een schat en kookt hemels, Nyomang zeer behulpzaam, zo ook de tuinmannen en Ayu. Zelf heel wat geschilderd en geschetst, maar zijn ook naar de dolfijnen met made gegaan en naar Menjangan Island. Verder eigenlijk veel bij het huis geweest. lekker chillen en voor de kinderen was het ook heerlijk. Dank voor alles. Lieve groet,

Onze start van 5 weken Indonesië en mooier dan dit kan het niet worden! Genoten van het huis, het design en de ligging. Gevoel van rust en ruimte en toch fijn aan zee! Behalve voor boodschappen, niet weggeweest,- heerlijk genoten van de kookkunsten van Ketut en de bediening door iedereen. Wel een heerlijke Made massage hier gehad aan het houten huisje bij zee. We hopen graag terug te komen.

Vandaag helaas, onze laatste avond hier. Wat hebben we genoten! Zelden ( nog nooit) hebben we gelogeerd in zo’n prachtig vormgegeven huis met zoveel gevoel voor symmetrie!. Elke dag hebben we gezwommen in het fantastisch zwembad en hebben we de zonsondergang bekeken op het strand terwijl de locale jeugd hun voetbaltalent bijschaafde, waarbij ze graag door ons gefotografeerd werden… 🙂 Omdat we graag de wk-wedstrijd wilde bekijken hebben we ons laten verleiden tot een diner-en-tv avond bij Batu-batu, een gelegenheid 200 meter oostelijk op het strand gelegen. Leuke avond gehad en een aanrader voor een sunset-drankje, maar de maaltijden die Ketut bereidt zijn echter veel beter! De rest van de week hebben we ons door haar laten verwennen. Zo meteen ons laatste diner hier. Wat zullen we dit huis, dit eiland en deze fantastische mensen missen! Terima Kasih voor alles en we komen zeker terug.

We have spent almost 3 weeks here at Villa Shanti and we can say that it has been one of the best holidays ever! First and foremost we must say a huge ”thank you” to Ketut, Nyomang and the rest of the wonderful staff including Ayu and the gardeners and the security. Our stay has been wonderful thanks to the hard work and attention of all the staff - wonderful. Ketut’s food is just sublime - just sit back and enjoy her amazing cooking. Make the most of the massage by having massage oil with frangipani oil. We loved this place - the villa, the pool, the food, the staff, the relaxation - the total relaxation, the wonderful Balinese. We are sad to leave as it has been such a great holiday - but for sure we will come back. Thank you again to all the staff at Villa Shanti - you have made our holiday. We will miss you. We hebben in Villa Shanti voor de tweede keer het reuze naar ons zin gehad. Ketut en Ayu hebben diverse malen heerlijk voor ons gekookt. De rest van de staff is zoals de eerste keer weer reuze vriendelijk en attent. Ook de taxi chauffeur hoort in de rij thuis. De veertien dagen waren weer zo voorbij. Prima weer gehad.

Zeer mooie villa en tuin, zorgzaam en lief personeel, heerlijk eten van Ketut en een heerlijk zwembad. We hebben de meeste avonden in de villa gegeten ( aanrader). We zijn gaan snorkelen rond Menjangan eiland, een aanrader. Het koraal is mooiere dan bij Amed en de Gili’s! Veel dank voor deze fantastische week!

What wonderful memories we taken home after the last few memorable days spent in Villa Shanti in the Island of the Gods - Bali. From the first moment when we were greeted with fragant garlands of frangipani by the so friendly staff from Villa Shanti, the dramatic view of Villa Shanti lit up in the darkness as we walked through a narrow path, to the superbly designed villa itself with it well-appointed rooms, the beautifully laid out gardens, with grape vines, banana, papaya, mango and chiku trees, the lovely pool, - it was just a mind blowing experience that we will never forget. Than again how can we ever forget the ever smiling, friendly and obliging staff, - from Ketut who whipped up a storm in the kitchen with the mouth watering dishes - fabulous salads, chicken, fish and the piece-de-resistance, the grilled lobster, to the sweet and gentle Ayu and the informative Nyomang. Thanks to the ever patient Made, the masseuse, who easing our aches and pains with her gentle strokes. You guys really helped complete what can only be descripted as the perfect holiday. Thank you Villa Shanti for the memories.

These two weeks passed in Villa Shanti have been really relaxing for the French family. The villa itself is absolutely flawless, with a charming garden, carefully taken care of by the two discreet gardeners. ketut and Ayu have made exquisite food every day and have been showed us how to cook some Balinese dishes. Made, a lovely and interesting woman, has an incredible power to relax your muscles ( after a long trip, for example). We have discovered the Island thanks to Komang, a really nice Balinese teacher, who would be enchanted to drive you around and tell you more about Balinese culture. We will be back one day, because we love this place so much!. Thanks to all of the staff for all of their kindness and perfect work.

It’s the end of our first week here at Villa Shanti for my family. We have really appreciated the relaxing atmosphere of this beautiful villa, pool and garden. Ketut’s food has been fantastic. She also showed us some of the fruit trees and plants in the garden; there is Mango, Balinese Kiwi, papaya, lime, lemongrass. Ketut the gardener has climed the coconuts tree to give us coconuts to drink from and has picked starfruit for us. Nyomang arranged at 6 am dolphin trip

We hebben een zeer leuk verblijf gehad in Villa Shanti. Bijna 3 weken genieten van de natuur, cultuur, lekker eten en zalig weer…. De villa is prachtig, de staf is super vriendelijk, ze zijn geweldig. Ketut haar kookkunsten waren heerlijk, ze had blijkbaar genoeg inspiratie voor 3 weken.

We mochten 14 dagen verblijven in deze prachtige villa. Er werd voor ons gekookt onder leiding van Ketut op meer dan 5-sterren niveau. Dit was iedere dag genieten!. We genoten van de rust, het prachtige zwembad, de zee en ook de vele massages van Made en vriendin. ook was het snorkelen, de wandeling met Putu, het zwemmen met de dolfijnen en de verschillende bezichtigingen van de tempels de moeite waard. Het was een paradijsje op aarde en we hopen hier nogmaals terug te komen.

It was just great tp live in such a wonderful house with its feelgood atmosphere and tastyfully chosen materials. Lying in the sofa and looking in teh lush exottic environment is an unforgetable memort. During the day we worked up while bathing, reading, relaxing and some hunger. Which Ketut helps us to battle with the wonderful dishes she helped us to select. ketut is a real pearl in the house, but also the other employers are very, very very friendly ans so helpful.

Our thanks to all the staff at Villa Shanti for their kindness and care during our holiday in this beautiful designed paradise. Lovely smiles, lovely food, lovely times.

Wow!! what an amazing and beautiful stay we have had at Villa Shanti. The views - magnificent The staff - Friendly - happy Nothing is a problem, a special thanks to Ketut, what a beautiful person, chef and friend. Take a trip to the local market. I took a ride their on the back of her scooter, we had a great morning a lots of laughs 🙂 the beach - take a walk down at sunset, just gorgeous. snorkeling - us Arrow dives make sure you have a massage in the hut - beautiful! Dolphin tour - use made in the oo7 boat - he is very considerate of the dolphins. many thanks again. We will be back soon.

After having stayed at Villa Shanti for a week nothing will measure up again! The grounds are just magnificent; the pool is excellent and the villa itself is spacious and airy. Everything has been thought of - even a library with books and DVD’s The icing at the villa cake is the staff. We don’t really see the ground keepers at work - everything is just perfect every morning when we got up. The knowledge of our security man conscientiously doing his round is very reassuring also. But the cherry on the top of all is Ketut: Magnificend chef; delightful person and quiet achiever! Thanks to Ayu, her keeper as well. All round Perfection.

Our stay for 1 week at Villa Shanti has been a highlight of our travels!. We haven’t stayed in a place of such beauty, perfection and 5-stars hospitality. To be greeted by all of the staff upon arrival and to have frangipani necklace began our personalized experience of our stay at Villa Shanti. Ketut made our holiday, without her it would would had just been a beautiful accomodation. She and Ayu just blend into the surroundings and go above their business cooking the most amazing Balinese dishes or cleaning the rooms while we were busy enjoying the bacon eggs, pancakes etc for breakfast that they before prepared. WE used Arrow diving to travel to Menjangan Island to spend the day snorkling under very affective care and Bikol who never left our side. A few of our party have snorkkeld in different places around the world and all have said nothing compares to the abundance of fish and coral on Menjangan Island. Overall, we have been thoroughly impressed and awed by the beauty of the residence and the natural grace of the Balinese staff. They truly are beautiful people. Looking forward to return!!!

Our stay at Villa Shanti can be summed up with two words; sheer perfection! We have had the opportunity to stay in several villas in Europe and nothing compares to Villa Shanti. Everywhere you look it is just beauty staring back to you. It’s not the physical beauty, but it is also the incredible staff. Where would Villa Shanti be without Ketut. Nothing phases this amazing woman. Everything you ask is answered with ‘ok, not a problem’. Her cooking is out of this world!. Ayu is also a delightful little person. Oh and the massage in the massage house with the sound of the waves crashing in the background, bliss! If I could have a home away from home, Villa Shanti would be it for sure, The only downside is that we were only here for a week. Words really can’t sum up the beauty, but once you have stayed here you want to come back and we will. This place is Paradise! Lots of love to Ketut, Ayu, Putu Ketut kebun, Nyomang and Kadek. We will miss you all and especially Ketut.

We stayed in Villa Shanti for 9 days. Wow, the first day we were surpriced when ketut showed us around. On internet it looks great, but now we are here it is amazing! Most of the days we stayed at the villa and relaxed. One day we went to Menjangan Island for snorkeling, really nice!. We also visited the Git Git waterfall, Buddhist temple, hot springs and Munduk. In the villa we had two times a massage from Made in the beach house.

Dear Ketut, Putu, Nyomang and the rest from teh staff of Villa Shanti!. It was a wonderful week here . All of teh staff are very friendly and helpful. The pool is the best. The meals from ketut are excelent and everyday enough for all. Thank you for the time here in Villa Shanti, Hope we see use again.

We had a wonderful week at Villa Shanti!The gorgeous house and garden with a private walking path to the beach!. Ketut and Ita are great ladies, very friendly and helpful and delicious cooks!. Green pancakes are a must to try! Also the fried prawns, chicken dish, fish dishes and veggies are out of this world. They put us in touch with Made Arrow Dive. A private boat for 5 of us for diving and snorkeling at Menjangan Island. Buddha was the dive instructor, great guy, for the snorkeling our guide was Putu, who was wonderful. Ketut also put us in contact with a different Made who took us out for dolphin watching. He is the guy you want if our plan to do this. Nice sized boat where the 5 of us could move around. The other boats out there people sat one behind the other with life jackets. They looked like a scene of the Titanic. We looked at a lot less touristic. Made had a fantastic local breakfast for us and tea and coffee on board and fresh fruit. We stayed long after the other boats and saw lots of dolphins and fish. Then we went snorkeling at another location and went to his house on the beach where we had a great local home cooked meal. really a worthwhile experience. Ketut also arrange some ladies for massage here at the villa. Also a real must to do. We also rented scooters and went a day of touring. The Buddhist temple, th ehot springs and just took some small roads up into the mountains. Real gorgeous area to drive around. Spent the rest of our time here enjoying the peace and quiet of the villa, around the pool, or in the hammock. Total Paradise. Even when it is raining. The villa is a real Paradise. This villa gets ***** 5 stars and truly deserves it!

Everything one need to return rested, relaxed, happy and healthy! We have a fantastic 2 weeks here at Villa Shanti with the help of ketuts fantastic food ( we especially liked the fried prawns, mie goring, pancakes and greens!) Nyomang for taking us back and forth to Lovina and arranging trips . Putu and Ketut for taking care of the pool and grounds, it all added up to an ultimate holiday!. All the staff is kind, friendly and caring. Our son celebrated his 15th birthday here and the staff presented him with a plate full of balinese treats and each greeted him!. We highly recommend Arrows Dive Centre Lovina. Nyomang can put you in touch with Buddha who took out our son for his first diving experience at Menjangan Island. Buddha and his team took time to let every family member feel comfortable an have a great time. Nyomang took us to the Buddhist temple not far from the villa which was very interesting and very beautiful. We spent a lot of time at the loungers by the pool and walking in teh beach. This is a vacation we will never forget and hope some day to return. Thank you.

Wij mochten 17 dagen genieten in Villa Shanti. De weg hier naar toe was lang en bochtig, maar bij aankomst werden we hartelijk ontvangen door Ketut en de rest van de staff. Na een welkom drankje gingen we de villa verkennem. Van foto’s op internet hadden we al gezien dat het er mooi uit zag, maar in het echt was het nog beter. Wij hadden de hele villa voor ons tweeën...wat een luxe. Wij hebben hier heerlijk genoten van de zon, de rust, de tuin en het zwembad en natuurlijk de bediening. De villa is 5-sterren waardig. Ketut heeft al die dagen voor ons gekookt. De eerste dagen vroeg ze wat we wilden eten, maar we hebben haar de vrije hand gegeven. En met succes. Wij hebben iedere dag heerlijk gegeten. Met Ketut naar de markt is een hele belevenis. De buddhistische tempel is ook mooi om te zien. Met locale busjes zijn we regelmatig op stap gegaan. Dit is goed te doen. We hopen dat ieder ander net zo’n mooie relaxte vakantie hebben als ons.

We were two weeks here in Villa Shanti and we can really only say that this was the perfect stay. The staff is always friendly and reliable, thoughtful and in a good mood. The Villa is stunningly beautiful and tastefully equipped and is surely among the best accommodations of entire Bali, also because the staff is sooooooo nice! 🙂 We could ask for anything, even organization of trips and conversation to locals. By the Way: leave the dinner choire to Ketut: you will always be served a 5 star meal ( try the labu siam vegatable as a side dish ). Anything that is possible will be arranged for you. There is really nothing that we could criticize! We really recommend to visit the Buddhist Temple, The Munduk waterfalls and the Giant tree ( on the way to the Munduk waterfalls) and snorkeling in Menjanjang and Tulamben Finally, this was the perfect vacation, and not only because of Bali and its attractions, at least of the importance is the Villa’s Staff!! One word: AWESOME Tomorrow our journey back to Germany begins, -1 degree celcius is awaiting us and we will miss Bali, Villa Shanti and of course Ketut and Ita and everybody else! 🙂

Een weekje Shanti, Een heerlijke week, prachtig weer Heerlijk eten gekookt door Ketut met made op zoek gegaan naar de dolfijnen, en wezen snorkelen bij Menjangan eiland, verzorgde trip. Fantastische onderwater wereld, prachtig koraal, We hebben genoten. Alle staff van Villa Shanti waren vriendelijke en behulpzaam Kortom een vakantie om nooit te vergeten. Bedankt voor de goede zorgen.

Finding the words to describe Villa Shanti and the whole ‘Villa Shanti ’experience made us feel is almost impossible. Or maybe not…. ‘Om’ from the sencribt mentra ‘Om Shanti Shanti Shanti Om’, as I understand is describing everything the contense. No better words to describe a holiday at Villa Shanti. The breathtaking views of the villa surpassed our expertations and so did the staff. Nyomang who was always here for every question we had. Ketut with her magical hands which delivered us the best food we had in our three week holiday across Singapore - Jokyakarta - benoa - ubud and Lovina. Thank you for teaching us the secrets of the Balinese cooking. We will need to come back for more lessons I think… :-). Ketut kebun and Putu for keeping the garden so beautiful and the pool clean. Thank you for bringing us fresh coconuts every day. We will miss you all. Kadek for watching over us at night and Made for bringing us a wonderful and fine massage in the hut at the beach. As we already toured 2 weeks before coming here, we were very happy to be able to relax read and enjoy the privacy of the villa. So not much of activities we can recommend. However, the early morning dolphins spotty with one of the shippers at the beach in front of the villa was gorgeous! Ask Nyoman to book the day before. If we can we would love to come back to Villa Shanti and its surpessed every expectations we had for our holidays. Thank you!!!

At first two days of relaxing, swimming in the pool, enjoy the fine cooking of ketut ( really good!!!). First we took a dolphin trip with Made. This I would recommend. He will take time with you. We got pick up at 6, had breakfast at his boat and saw a lot of dolphin. His boat is equipped with special handles, this way you could really swim with the dolphins, you could hear them talk under the water. Very special!!! After cathing our own lunch with fishing he took us snorkling in the coral. Beautiful!!! The lunch we ate at made’s house was very good. We dive at Menjangan Island. We ask Ketut to arrange Made for massage. Excellent. Ask Ketut for fried prawns, great!!!. Ask Nyomang to take a trip to the waterfalls, coffee platation, hot springs, Buddhist temple. We loved it here and we certainly return!!!. Special thanks to all the staff! It was great.

We have had a wonderful, relaxing holiday at Villa Shanti. The villa is stunningly designed, light and airy and the garden just beautiful; lotus flowers, mango trees, coconut palms and waterfeatures. what more could you ask for! The Balinese staff have all been kind gentle and very accomodating. ketut is a great cook and we have had chicken, prawns, vegetables dishes. Pancakes for breakfast and lots of fresh fruits, its been delicious and lovely to be looked after so well and thoughtfully. We have spent some time in Lovina. Nyomang has taken us where ever we have wanted in his jeep. Lovina beach is nice and the market nearby.We also went to visit the Buddhist temple which was interesting. We have learnt a lot about Hindu tradition and Balinese living through the staff and drivers. Dolphin watching was great, saw also part of a whale and great schools of dolphins. We enjoyed the trip to Menjangan Island to go snorkeling the most, went twice, its about 1 ½ hours away. The coral is spectecular and the visibility fantastic. We left at 8 am and arrived back at 2:30 pm. Ketut made us lunch. At cost around 20 AUD each. A lot of our time has been reading, relaxing by the pool and appreciate the warmth, space and simplicity. If we had more time a trip to Ubud, exploring Singaraja and local village, also perhaps visiting a pearl farm….. many things, but this week has been perfect. Oh, and I did have 2 massage from Made! What a treat. She is excellent. Many, many thanks to all of the staff especially Ketut and Nyomang, we are very thankful and grateful to you and hope to be back soon! I think Villa Shanti is the best place ever!!!

We hebben genoten van ons verblijf. Mooi designed villa. Aardige mensen en eigenlijk willen en hoeven we niet de villa uit… 🙂 Ketut kookt iedere avond voor ons. jammer dat ze zondags vrij is en we moesten in het restaurant eten. restaurant Tropis met een pick up service is te doen. het eten is goed, maar lang niet zo lekker als het eten van Ketut. Iemand die van massage houdt moet zeker een keer een massage nemen van Made. Een uur massage ca. Euro 8,-. Lopen op straat is een ervaring apart. Als je ergens naar toe wilt gaan dan is het verstandig een dagtrip te plannen. Vooraf afspreken welke specifieke plekken je wilt zien en de prijs afspreken. Jammer dat we niet langer kunnen blijven. Misschien tot ziens.

We all arrived and fell instantly in love with this place. The energie, the beauty, the staff, the pool and the grounds. We have been truly spoiled; massages, meals, walks, the laughing constantly by Ketut and the staff is delightful. We love, love love the Balinese people. They bring such sweet joy to our lives. Sadly we depart in order to continue out journey. Other places, other people, new experience. I will always remember Lovina with a smile and a open heart.

After having the opportunity to experience the hospitality in Villa Asmara, we were now so fortunate to undergo the same in Villa Shanti. The design of the house is overwhelming, the garden an adventure to discover. However the true wealth of this house consist of the staff, who fulfills every wish you can think of. The cooking of Ketut has not surpassed in any of the restaurants we dined. During our stay in Asmara and Shanti we have made several trips ( snorkling at menjangan, visiting waterfalls, Mayong tracking). This villa’s are a beautiful place to stay and make contact with the Balinese people.

We gaan zo dadelijk dit kleine paradijs verlaten na een heerlijke week zwemmen, lezen, een filmpje kijken. Kortom een prima chill plek! Maar er is ook genoeg gelegenheid en mogelijkheid om uitstapjes te maken. We hebben gebruik gemaakt van de informatie van de eigenaar en kunnen onze uitstapjes aanbevelen: warmwaterbronnen, vlak bij het Buddhistisch klooster en tempel zwemmen met de dolfijnen bij het Melka hotel beloond met officieel diploma en scherpe foto’s massage aan huis door Made en collega ( heerlijk) wandelen met Putu van Mayong tracking. Hij verteld heel veel en is erg enthousiast! Prachtige uitzichten! snorkelen bij Menjangan. was wel een eind rijden maar zeer de moeite waard. Nyomang bracht ons met de jeep meestal weg. We hebben ook wel voor een week een brommer gehuurd. Ketut kookte heerlijk voor ons. Terima Kasih voor deze heerlijke week,

Wat een paradijselijk plekje en wat hebben we hiervan genoten! Alles is prachtig; het huis, het zwembad en vooral de tuin. Super gestyled. Complimenten hoe jullie alles op elkaar hebben afgestemd, helemaal in harmonie. En dat gaf ons zoveel rust en een fijne plek om bij te komen. van de 6 dagen dat we hier verbleven zijn we 5 dagen op tour gegaan. En als we dan weer thuis kwamen had Ketut voor ons gekookt en was de tafel gezellig gedekt. Wat een service en wat een genot. En ook de andere staffleden waren vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ook speciale dank voor Nyomang, die verschillende tours voor ons heeft geregeld of ons zelfs soms bracht. Kortom, we hebben een geweldige week gehad. Iedereen bedankt voor alles. Terima Kasih.

The food was continuously incredible and over met our expectations and the staff were lovely and very attentive to our wants. Will never forget this holiday and the beautiful villa and surrounding.

The staff here have made us the most amazing food and have been so kind! I will remember this holiday the rest of my life - farewell paradise!

We have spent a magical 5 days here, relaxing, swimming, sleeping and eating the wonderful meals prepared by Ketut. Suggestion - ask for pancakes for breakfast, fried prawns, beef, duck, tuna for supper, but not all at the same time…. 🙂

The villa is just fantastic with its rooms and the pool. A grat compliment to the whole staff. Everyone is very friendly and absolutely great service. A very special compliment to Ketut; a 6 star cook!!!. We thank you all for evrything, especcialy for all the special arrangements for Tina’s 50th birthday. It was a very special moment for her, which she will never forget. Terima Kasih!!!

Villa Shanti, wat een genot!. Om onze 3-weekse vakantie op Bali af te sluiten verblijven we de laatste week in Villa Shanti. Wat zijn we blij dat we dit niet aan het begin van onze reis gedaan hebben. We hadden niets meer goed gevonden… Genoten hebben we van het mooie huis, de prachtige tuin, de kookkunsten van Ketut, de boeken en films in de kast en de fantastische verzorging van het team. Op advies van Marja naar dolfijnen wezen kijken met Made. Hij is duurder dan de anderen, maar het geld waard; grotere boot met voldoende bewegingsruimte ( bij de andere bootjes zit je achter elkaar) Balinees ontbijt aan boord, wij hadden de pech van dolfijnen die snel weg waren, maar leuke boottocht afgerond met snorkelen waarbij hij voor onze dochter een box had met een glazen plaat zodat ook zij kon ‘snorkelen’.Bij terugkomst aan wal stond een Balinese lunch voor ons klaar. Niet veel dolfijnen, maar wel een bijzondere dag. Omdat onze dochter zo graag de dolfijnen wilde zien toch maar wezen zwemmen met de dolfijnen bij ‘Melka’. Had vooraf op internet vooral negatieve verhalen hierover gelezen en vroeg me af of het wel een goed plan was om te gaan. Toch gegaan en het viel 100% mee. We hadden ‘s morgens om 10:00 afgesproken en de dolfijnen waren super. We hebben genoten van 20 bijzondere minuten. We kunnen jullie weinig tips geven, omdat we weinig hebben ondernomen, anders dan genieten van Villa Shanti. Bedankt voor zalige week!

De staff is zeer behulpzaam en zorgde goed voor ons. Drie weken lang met 5 volwassenen in Villa Shanti; wat een voorrecht. We hebben genoten van het tropisch fruit. Ketut verraste ons elke dag en we hebben totaal 24 soorten verschillend fruit gegeten. Enkele tips: Een dagtocht naar Singaraja is zeer de moeite waard; tweede zeehaven, tempel Meduwa, weefatelier. Een rijstvelden - kampung wandeling in Mayong met Putu en lunch van Ria, super! Een bezoek aan de watervallen Sekumpul is spectaculair. Heerlijk gebadderd. verfrissend. Dagtocht Sampai Jumpa.

Villa Shanti was the most beautiful place to stay. We will recommend to all of our friends in Australia!!!!. Thanks to you all your ‘wonderful staff. They made our stay truly memorable!. That's have we have experience our holiday at Villa Shanti. The location is absolutely perfect and the staff will do their best to give you the best holiday ever. Ketut has cooked us lovely meals every day. Do joy her to the local market if she goes for shopping. Just great to choose your own fish for dinner. And also try a coconut from the garden. The gardeners will be happy to get one for you. Kadek security is great and made us feel very safe. Ayu made you feel very special every day with the flowers she bring from the garden. Nyomang is great in advising trips to make an to arrange them for you. Trips we can recommend; see the sunrise and dolphin from the water. The boat will pick you up on the beach in front of Villa Shanti. Also a tout trough the rice fields of Mayong. Putu has so much tot tell and the lunch at his house was lovely.

Hallo, het was heel fijn en rustgevend en zo mooi. V. Het is hier heel mooi en ik zelf heb het meeste in het zwembad gelegen. het eten was ook heel lekker vooral de sate. S. Zo heerlijk hier aan te komen. Zo spijtig hier te moeten vertrekken. We hebben genoten van al het moois en lekkers. Wat een goddelijke plek. Iedereen die hier ooit mag verblijven is bevoorrecht! F. Helemaal tot rust gekomen van een hectisch koud Nederland. Wat ontzettend genieten! Heerlijk! D.

Many thanks especially to Ketut for her magical cooking and helpful assistance, her felxibility in making vegetarrian meals with accomodation of the likes and dislikes of all people in our party. What a fantastic and positive attitude she has!. Snorkling near the Island menjangan is an absolute must to do. beautiful boat trip with gorgeous surroundings and the under water world is amazing. We have absolutly loved our stay in Paradise and feel sorry we have to leave. Thank you lovely people of Villa Shanti for making our holiday so special!. Hope to meet you again!

We enjoyed it immediately end felt really spoiled, because of all the lovely things, the people and the beautiful house and garden. We decided to come back some time next year. We’ve already looking forwards to that! Woorden schieten te kort om te omschrijven wat we hier hebben gevonden. ALLES KLOPT!. Het huis, de lieve mensen. Villa Shanti has undoubtedly been the best accomondation we have ever stayed in. it’s just so beautiful and we are so well looked after. We all especially enjoyed Ketuts amazing cooking ( Thank you ketut), so that will be very missed in England. The staff are extremely welcoming and kind and have been great for the whole 2 weeks spent here. Ville Shanti was a place were we could completely relax and have no worries at all. It’s very calming and private despite situated directly at the beach. We would like to say a big thank you again ta all the staff and lovely people we met during our stay, this holiday has been memorable and was the best one yet!. We hope to return to Bali again.

A feast for all the senses especially the eyes and peaceful for the ears. Ketut does delicicous vegetarian food, magical cooking. Ask for the eggplant, tofu, tempe,sate and curry! Ask also for the Dutch pancakes with the liguid palm sugar. Divine. Thanks for creating a gorgeous place.

Our best beach vacation yet! Having spent wonderful holidays at many locations around the world, the Villa Shanti is the best beach location by far. From the friendly greeting on arrival by the staff, to the beautifully designed and constructed villa, and the perfect location on a quiet beach in Northern Bali, all of it exceeded our expectations (and we had set them high). The quiet location, set back in the rice fields, with its very well cared for grounds including the very short walkway to the beach and the huge pool are just a few of the advantages of Villa Shanti. The staff is great, going about their duties in quiet precision, allowing us to have our family time and privacy. During our stay, Ketut prepared our breakfast and dinner every day, except one, the food supplies cost a meager $250 for the entire 2 weeks! We like our mornings unhurried, so asked Ketut to prepare a late breakfast, and provide fruits and snacks for lunch. Then every evening we looked forward to our fantastic Balinese meals, including prawns and lobster several times. I have several food related allergies and Ketut prepared separate servings, in many cases just for me, and then added all the goodies for the family’s servings. Be sure to have the prawns and mie goreng for dinner and the pancakes with palm sugar syrup for breakfast. The gardens and lawn are well kept including several mango trees, and to our delight we had fresh mango every morning with breakfast. There are also pineapple and star fruit as well. In addition, it was grape season and so the villa’s next door neighbor offered us bags full of grapes several mornings, keeping us in grapes for our entire stay. The friendliness of the neighbor is a tribute to the Balinese people...we found everyone on Bali to be very friendly, trustworthy and accommodating. The villa’s design complements its surroundings and all of the amenities are great. The pool is very large; we were in and out of it several times per day. All of the furnishings in the villa are very nice; the rooms are comfortable and provide everything you could ever want. We spent most of every day outside, in the outdoor furniture, on the beach, and in the pool….what a great way to spend a day. Don't miss a chance to go snorkeling or diving at Menjangan Island with arrows Dive Centre in Lovina. We were very happy with this company and Buda, our dive master, was great! Buda was very professional and very safety oriented and great with our teenage son during his introductory dives and us during our snorkeling. We were so happy with Buda and his staff that we went to the island twice! Don't miss it! We also went on a dolphin trip that Nyomang had arranged. The boats came right to the beach in front of the villa. In addition to the dolphins, the Balinese sunrise is not to be missed, take your cameras. All of the staff is very kind, courteous and professional.Ketut with her continual smile and great attitude kept us fed with her great cooking, Ita kept our rooms and the entire villa spotless and assisted Ketut with food preparation, Nyomang was always available to take care of any issue and provided us transport to several places during our stay. The gardeners worked tirelessly to keep every plant and tree in perfect order, and Kadek our security guard with his calm presence kept everything in order, but was never intrusive. In addition to all of this, the owners are very friendly and helpful. This is a place that we intend on returning to. If you want a quiet, relaxing, worry free and beautiful place to vacation, this is it!

We have spent two fantastic weeks in Villa Shanti. The Villa, the garden, the pool just gorgeous. The whole staff is super, friendly and the service is just TOP! A very special thanks goes to Ketut for her extraordinary creative cooking ( 6 stars) and to Ita. We have been taken very well care of. The whole Villa is in excellent condition and the rooms, pool, etc. were cleaned daily. Great place to spend a holiday and we will definitely come back if we have the opportunity. Villa Shanti can be recommended without any reservations. Thanks again for an unforgettable holiday!

Een fantastische villa. Als je door de poort loopt word je bevangen van het huis zelf, de tuin en de prachtige omgeving. Op de 1e etage heeft de slaapkamer een fantastisch uitzicht over de wijnranken en rijstvelden. Het zwembad is heerlijk om aan te liggen. Je kan ook zitten in het zwembad en het is groot genoeg om baantjes te trekken. Het strandhuisje is heerlijk voor massages en voor het genieten van een zonsondergang.

Het is een prachtige villa, mooi design stijlvol ingericht, mooie tuin aan het strand. Perfecte uitvalsbasis om Lovina te verkennen en meer van Noord Bali. Je komt er tot rust, eigenlijk wil je niet meer van het terrein af, zo mooi is het.

Coming from Sanur, we arrived in Paradise! The setting is glorious. The villa is set back from the beach, so is surrounded by padi fields. It is unique among the villas on this beach; it's special and secluded. The gardens burst with verdant plants and flowers – the lily ponds to the beach are gorgeous. The photos can’t do it justice. It's beautifully designed, unusual in its style, is spacious, modernly furnished, and very well maintained. The staff are wonderful. House “manager”, Ketut was a delight as was her assistant, Ita. Ketut’s cooking was outstanding - we didn’t eat out once in our 5 nights/6days. Ketut asked what we liked, bought, cooked and served them to us each evening, and charged us just what she’d spent. She coped perfectly with the nut allergy of one of our party. All in all Villa Shanti and the food we were served were incredibly good value, the more so by comparison with other places we stayed in Bali. We can’t recommend the villa highly enough – it’s a delight.

De ligging is perfect, het top design, vooral veel privacy in een perfect onderhouden prachtige tuin, heerlijk uitzicht rondom op de sawa's, de bergen. De zee op 150 meter en alles tot in de puntjes verzorgd. Fantastisch personeel, perfecte keuken. Alles is GENIETEN. Zoek je iets anders als anders in de het prachtige noorden van Bali......villa Shanti is een unieke toplocatie.

We stayed in bali Villa Shanti for 9 days. Wow, the first day we were surprised when ketut showed us around. On internet it looks great, but now we are here it,s amazing!. Most of the days we stayed at the villa and relaxed. One day we went to Mengangan for snorkling, really nice. We also visit the Git Git waterfalls, Buddhist temple, Monkey temple, hot springs and Munduk. In the villa we had a two times a massage from made in the beach house. We had a perfect, relaxed holiday.

dear keyut, Putu, Nyomang and the rest of the staff!! It was a wonderfull week here in Villa Shanti. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful. The pool is the best. The meals are excellent and every day enough for all. Thank you for the time here in Shanti. Hope we see us again.

Villa Shanti! True paradise- the gorgeous house and gardens and private walkway to the beach! ketut and the girl are great ladies- very friendly and helpfull and delicious cooks! Green pancakes are a mustt to try! Also fried prawns, chicken, fish and veggies are out of this world. They put us in touch with made of Arrow Dive - a private boot for the 5 of us and snorkling at mengangan Island. ketut also arrange the massage at the Villa, also a really must-do!! We also rented out some scooters and did a day of touring ; the Buddhist temple, hotsprings and just took some small roads up into the mountains. really gorgeous area to drive around!. Spent the rest of the time here enjoying the beach and quiet of the villa around the pool or in the hammock. Total paradise!!.

Everything you need to return rested, relaxed, happy and healthy. We had a fantastic 2 weeks here at Villa Shanti with teh help of ketut's fantastic food ( we especially liked her fried prawns, mie goring, pancakes and greens) The girl for the washing and keeping everything spottless, Nyomang taking us back and forth to Lovina and arranging trips and putu and ketut for taking care of the pooland grounds - it all added up to un ultimate holiday. All staff is kind, friendly and caring. our son celebrate his 15 birthday here and the staff presented him with a plate full of balineese treats and each greeted him. We highly recommend Arrow Dive Centre in Lovina. Nyomang can put you in touch with Buddhah. We saw the Buddhist Monastery not far from the villa. we spend a lot of time in the loungers, in the pool and walking on the beach. This is a vacation we will never forget and hope some day to return. Thank you!

De weg er naar toe was lang en bochtig, maar bij aankomst werden we hartelijk ontvangen door Ketut en de rest van de staff. Na een welkomsdrankje gingen we de villa verkennen. van foto's op internet hadden we al gezien dat het er mooi uitzag, maar in het echt wss het nog beter. We hadden de gehele villa voor ons tweeen.... wat een luxe. We hebben hier heerlijk genoten van de zon, de rust, de tuin en het zwembad en natuurlijk de bediening. De villa is 5 sterren waardig. Ketut heeft al die dagen voor ons gekookt. De eerste dagen vroeg ze wat we wilden eten, maar we hebben haar de vrije hand gegeven. En met succes. We hebben iedere dag heerlijk gegeten.

All in all we can really only say that this was the perfect stay. The staff is always reliable and friendly, thoughtful and in a good mood. The Villa is stunningly beautiful and tastefully equipped and is surely among the best accommodations of entire Bali, also because the staff is sooooo nice! We could ask for anything, even organization of trips and conversation to locals. By the way: Leave the dinner choice to Ketut: you will always be served a 5 ***** meal (try the Labu Siam vegetable as a side dish). Anything that’s possible will be arranged for you. There is nothing that we could criticize. We cannot recommend the Dolphin trip, because it is more like a Dolphin hunt: you will see approx. 55 boats chasing dolphins that come to the surface to eat something. We rarely saw some dolphins from about 50m away and then we decided to return because we didn’t wanna be part of the hunt. What we really recommend is to visit the Buddhist Temple, the Munduk Waterfalls and the Giant Tree (on the way to the Munduk Waterfalls) and snorkeling in Menjangan and Tulamben. Finally, this was the perfect vacation, and not only because of Bali and its attractions, at least of the same importance is the Villa’s staff! One word: Awesome!

ich war mit 4 freunden vom 05.11.12-17.11.12 in der villa shanti und muss sagen, wir haben das paradies gefunden. alles, wirklich alles stimmt. das haus, der garten,die einrichtung,der pool,die umgebung aber vor allem die crew. ein großes lob an die netten leute, die immer im hintergrund blieben aber uns trotzdem nah waren. irgendwie ''witterten'' sie unsere bedürfnisse,haben gekocht wie ein 5 sterne haus, alles sauber und ordentlich gehalten, wie man es selten sieht,uns betüddelt und betreut wie könige, haben uns die menschen in der umgebung näher gebracht,uns sehr viel unterstützt bei allen fragen und nöten.ich vermisse alles heute schon und werde bestimmt wieder hinfahren. macht weiter so und bleibt alle gesund und munter.

Arriving in the early evening after our drive from Sanur, we arrived in Paradise! All 6 villa staff were there to greet us, with frangipani garlands. The setting is glorious, as the villa itself is set a little way back from the beach, so is surrounded by padi fields. It is unique among the villas on this stretch of beach, and is very special and secluded. The gardens are literally bursting with verdant plants and flowers - the lily ponds leading down the path to the beach are gorgeous. The photos on the website, although stunning, don't do the villa justice. The villa itself is beautifully designed, unusual in its style (with the lovely thatched roof and open plan living area upstairs to provide beautiful vistas), is spacious, modernly furnished, and very well maintained. The staff are wonderful - I know all reviews say that about Balinese staff at most villas, but here it was true (and we stayed at another where this wasn't the case!). House "manager", Ketut was a delight as was her assistant, Ita. Ketut's cooking was outstanding; so much so that we didn't eat out once in our 5 nights/6days there. Ketut asked us what we liked, we told her, and she bought the ingredients, cooked and served them to us each evening, and charged us just what she'd spent (something she recorded in meticulous detail in her notebook for us). She coped perfectly with the nut allergy of one of our party. Of particular note is the 18 metre long "lap" style swimming pool directly in front of the villa, which allows "proper" exercise swimming (one of our party did 120 lengths one day!). All in all Villa Shanti and the food we were served were incredibly good value, the more so by comparison with other places we stayed in Bali. Put simply, we can't recommend the villa highly enough - it's a delight and staying here was the highlight of our 12 night holiday. Ps. Ketut organised dolphin watching for us with Made, and our party (ranging in age from 18 to 57) thought this was "brilliant".
